It's not an AE86. It's an AE85, as you can tell from the carb'd 3A-U motor. Can you swap it out? Perhaps, but it's not easy and you might as well have just bought an AE86 with the correct drivetrain to begin with.

I'm so conflicted on low-mile survivors like this. On the one hand, something so close to factory condition is awesome. But on the other hand - you cannot modify or hoon this thing at all. Blah.
